Athlete cards

apibjj index · computed from the real podium record

Six attributes per athlete, all derived from the record: none of them is opinion. The index (IDX) is the average of the six. Sample of eight athletes with verified podiums: most from IBJJF/AJP in 2025–26, plus two heavyweight names (in reputation, not always in weight) with coverage still limited in our base, ADCC 2024 and UFC BJJ 2025. Licensed photo (Wikimedia Commons) for two athletes in the sample; for the rest, no source with usage rights yet, so the frame shows initials.

IDX measures podium volume and efficiency. Not a technique score or an outcome prediction. Small samples (1–2 events) pull ACTIVITY down even when everything else is perfect.

Data-suggested matchups

tale of the tape · a computed edge, not an opinion

This is how we help matchmakers build a card: take the six attributes of two athletes and show where the fight is genuinely competitive, without inventing a favorite. Four examples using the eight athletes above. On your event, it's the fighters from your own card.
